What a big change!
I lost my condo in Hurricane Ian back in 2022, and it flooded with five feet of water. I moved temporarily to Colorado for a change of pace and scenery, planning to stay for the summer. In October, I was told the condo was finally ready to move back into. But then Hurricane Milton hit, and I lost the condo again, this time to three inches of water, which was enough to make it uninhabitable. So I turned around and drove back to Colorado.
PROS
- Moving to the mountains was on my bucket list.
- Pretty View (I can see the mountain from my apartment)
- Starry starry night.
- I found pet friendly housing.
- Free public bus.
- No Hurricanes!!
- Also a great team of coworkers and a boss who treats me with care, its very rare for me to find that.
CONS
- Bus is constantly late. (At least when its snowing)
- Expensive resort town.
- An occasional bad roommate.
- Far away from my family.
- Far far away from my family. (SOB!!)

Quite a difference in weather and scenery. Sea level to a mile above. From sand to snow. Sounds like a nice change of pace.
